1. Who We Are

CalcMoney (calcmoney.io) is a US-based financial calculator platform operated by CalcMoney LLC, a Wyoming limited liability company. Contact: hello@calcmoney.io.

2. What We Collect

Calculator inputs

All calculator math runs in your browser. Numbers you type into any calculator are never sent to our servers and are not stored by us.

Account and subscription data

When you create an account or subscribe to CalcMoney Pro, we collect your email address, hashed password (managed by Supabase Auth), and subscription status. Payment is handled by LemonSqueezy; we receive a webhook confirming the transaction but never see raw card numbers.

Email sign-ups

If you subscribe to our newsletter or market briefings, we store your email address and the date of sign-up.

Application form

If you apply for the CalcMoney Private Institutional Network via /apply, we collect your name, email, self-reported net worth range, and advisory context. This data is stored in our database and used solely to evaluate and fulfill your application.

Usage analytics

We collect anonymized usage data including pages visited, calculators used, time on site, browser type, and approximate location (city level). We use Google Analytics, Microsoft Clarity, and PostHog for this purpose.

Server logs

Our hosting infrastructure automatically records IP addresses, HTTP request paths, timestamps, and response codes for security and debugging purposes. Logs are retained for 30 days.

3. How We Use Your Data

• Providing and improving the CalcMoney calculators and platform
• Sending you newsletters, market briefings, and product updates (email subscribers only)
• Processing Pro subscriptions and fulfilling access to paid features
• Evaluating institutional network applications
• Detecting and preventing abuse, fraud, and security incidents
• Complying with legal obligations

We do not sell your personal data. We do not use your data for automated profiling that produces legal or similarly significant effects.

4. Cookies and Tracking

We use cookies and similar tracking technologies for three purposes:

• Essential: Session authentication for logged-in users and Pro subscribers.
• Analytics: Aggregate usage tracking via Google Analytics, Microsoft Clarity, and PostHog.
• Affiliate tracking: If you click a partner link, a cookie may track that referral so we receive a commission at no cost to you.

You can disable non-essential cookies through your browser settings or a consent management tool. Disabling analytics cookies does not affect calculator functionality.

5. Third-Party Services

The following third-party processors handle data on our behalf:

Each third party operates under its own privacy policy and data processing agreements. We do not control their practices beyond what our agreements require.

6. Data Retention

• Account and subscription records: retained for the life of your account plus 3 years after deletion for tax and legal compliance.
• Email subscriber records: retained until you unsubscribe, then deleted within 30 days.
• Application form submissions: retained for 2 years.
• Analytics data: retained per each provider's default retention policy (typically 14 months for Google Analytics).
• Server logs: 30 days.

7. Your Rights

Depending on your location, you may have the following rights regarding your personal data:

• Access: Request a copy of the personal data we hold about you.
• Correction: Request that we correct inaccurate or incomplete data.
• Deletion: Request deletion of your personal data, subject to legal retention requirements.
• Portability: Request your data in a structured, machine-readable format.
• Objection: Object to processing based on legitimate interests or for direct marketing.
• Restriction: Request that we restrict processing of your data under certain circumstances.

To exercise any of these rights, email hello@calcmoney.io with the subject line "Data Request." We will respond within 30 days.

8. California Residents (CCPA / CPRA)

If you are a California resident, you have additional rights under the California Consumer Privacy Act:

• The right to know what personal information we collect, use, disclose, and sell.
• The right to delete personal information we have collected from you.
• The right to opt out of the sale or sharing of personal information.
• The right to non-discrimination for exercising your privacy rights.

We do not sell or share your personal information as defined under CCPA. We do not have actual knowledge that we sell or share the personal information of consumers under 16 years of age.

To submit a CCPA request, email hello@calcmoney.io with "CCPA Request" in the subject line. We will verify your identity before responding.

9. Data Security

We use HTTPS for all data in transit. Account data is stored in Supabase (us-east-1) with row-level security policies enforced at the database layer. Passwords are hashed and never stored in plaintext. We do not log financial inputs entered into calculators.

No transmission or storage method is 100% secure. If you become aware of a security vulnerability, please report it to hello@calcmoney.io.

10. Children's Privacy

CalcMoney is intended for adults making capital decisions. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 18 years of age. If you believe we have inadvertently collected such information, contact us and we will delete it promptly.

11. Changes to This Policy

We may update this policy as our practices change. Material changes will be communicated via a notice on this page and, where appropriate, by email. The effective date at the top of this page reflects when it was last revised.
