Independent US Calculator Company
CalcMoney is a small, founder-led US company that builds financial calculators for people with more than one account, property or income stream. We use AI tools heavily, and this page says where.
We are not a bank, broker, tax preparer or registered investment adviser. Nothing on CalcMoney is personal financial, tax or legal advice.

Our Editorial Process
Primary Sources
Tax brackets, contribution limits, benefit rules and other figures come from the agency that sets them, such as IRS publications, SSA program rules and Federal Reserve data. Each source is listed in our data source file, which is checked monthly for figures that are due for an update.
Tested Calculator Math
We are moving every calculator onto engines with automated tests against worked examples from the official rules. Rebuilt so far: state income tax, Social Security survivor benefits, Roth conversions and mortgage payoff. When a rule changes, the engine and its tests change together.
How Articles Are Written
Articles are drafted with AI writing tools (Anthropic's Claude), then an automated review checks the math and flags unsupported claims. Since October 2026, a person reads and fact-checks every new article before it publishes. Older articles didn't have that step; we are reviewing them and correcting or removing the ones that don't hold up.
Disclosure
Some pages link to financial companies that may pay us if you sign up. Those pages say so, and the links are marked as sponsored. Payment never changes a calculator result.
Where Else We Use AI
- Market briefings are generated automatically from public market data within minutes of an event, so they publish before a person reviews them. Each one is labeled as automated and stays out of Google Search until a person has checked it.
- The AI insight under a calculator result is written by Anthropic's Claude from the numbers you entered. It explains the result; it isn't advice.
- Most article cover images are made with AI image tools.
Corrections Policy
When we get something wrong, we want to know and we fix it.
- Email hello@calcmoney.io with the page and what looks wrong.
- We check the claim against the primary source and fix confirmed errors.
- Calculator changes are tracked in our code history.
- Live rates refresh automatically every day.
Editorial Independence
CalcMoney earns money through affiliate links and advertising. Calculator results don't change based on who pays us, and pages with paid links carry a disclosure.
